Q. When should children start coming in for dental visits?
A. Your child's first checkup should be when their first tooth arrives.
Q. What kind of crowns do you do?
A. We offer a variety of types of crowns: Porcelain fused to metal crowns, all porcelain crowns, and full gold crowns. We also have the technology in the office to do one appointment crowns (cerec crowns), where they are milled right here in our office.
Q. Do you replace mercury fillings?
A. We do replace mercury fillings in our office. We usually do so when the mercury fillings show evidence of breakdown or leakage. Some patients choose to have them replaced for health reasons, which we are happy to accommodate.
Q. Why do I need to visit the dentist regularly?
A. To help insure the prevention of dental problems and general health issues. Our goal is to help you have the best possible oral health for a lifetime.
Q. How often should I have x-rays?
A. At least once a year.
Q. Is bleaching your teeth safe?
A. Absolutely. After more than 100 years of refinement and improvement, supervised whitening is a common procedure. Some individuals may experience mild temporary tooth sensitivity.
Q. What is the association of gum disease and your general health?
A. Studies have shown that gum disease has a direct effect on your physical health. Bacteria in your mouth can travel thru your bloodstream to the other systems in your body.
Q. What are the payment options that you offer in your office?
A. We are a non-assignment office that accepts payment directly from the patient at the time of treatment. We happily file your insurance claims electronically so that you can be directly reimbursed from your insurance company in a timely fashion. For major treatment, we offer in house financing for a period of 3 months. |
